The general surgeons at Adventist Health Sonora will provide personalized solutions. Our team is trained to know what approaches can give you the best outcome and fastest recovery. In many cases, that means they’ll use less-invasive techniques that can result in less pain and shorter hospital stays. What do general surgeons do? General surgeons are surgical experts trained in a wide range of procedures. Our talented team offers surgical treatments for conditions like: •  Cancer •  Gastrointestinal problems •  Hernias •  Skin and soft tissue disorders Is it safe to have surgery now? Adventist Health Sonora has been working hard to make it safe to have surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve set up drop-off and pick-up areas in front of the hospital. We’ll escort patients to and from their car so that the driver can remain in their vehicle. And we’ve limited visitors. All of our staff members are wearing masks, and we’re physically distancing whenever possible. These steps are in addition to the infection control measures we take every day, pandemic or not.
