How do you schedule a virtual visit with a doctor? “Just call and request a visit from your provider’s office,” Emerald says. You’ll need an internet connection and a device with a working camera and microphone. If you don’t have one, let your doctor’s office know. Adventist Health Sonora is using Microsoft Teams for virtual visits. Your doctor’s office will send you an appointment email that contains a link. Shortly before your appointment, the office will call you. A nurse will take your information just like at a regular visit. Then you’ll click on the emailed link, which will bring you to a virtual room. Your doctor will join you there, and you’ll be able to see and hear each other. Your email will have a number to call if you have technical problems. And if the virtual visit doesn’t work for any reason, your doctor will call you to continue by phone instead. There’s no need to put off your health care any longer. Give a virtual visit a try. Your virtual visit, step by step Looking for a convenient option for care?
